  1. Claim analysis: A typical claim project (up to 10 retrograde years, one index date, 5 in/exclusion criteria, and 10 tables prepared from one master with or without multiple master-derived subset data files) with a clear SAP can be completed within two weeks, with 20-30 working hours spent on cohort selection, and 2-4 hours for each table.
  2. Descriptive reports: Tables (cover mean, percentage, standardized difference, Z difference and p value, with or without weight) can be prepared on a set of variables, with default chosen statistic test of Chi square/EXACT/t-test(equal or un-equal)/ANOVA (and further t-test between any two groups)/Wilcoxon test based on variable levels/types and normality distribution, with p value marked for the paired test and highlighted for significance based on a designated limit.
  3. Regression: Results can be prepared on bivariate, all independent variables, and backward selection using GENMOD, LOGISTIC, and COX. In addition, longitudinal trend can be predicted and graphed by AUTOREG.
  4. Synchronized multivariate resampling: Prepare data files for MAIC projects, check our SAS Global Forum 2020 paper for detail, and SAS code for reference.
  5. IP address decoder: identify the range of Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) values listed in MAXMIND GeoLite2 or GeoIP2 data bases, and convert between decimal and binary IP address.
  1. Excel users can initiate SAS/Python execution and view results from Excel end.
  2. Importation: Excel files can be promptly cleaned and imported into SAS.
  3. Copying SAS/Python-prepared tables into Excel pivot templates.
  4. Joining multiple figures and/or tables into one Excel report file with a table of content.
  1. Multi-thread SAS/Python execution: Saving dozens folds on large-scale data mining time. With the approach, the cohort selection of a pharmacometrics project, which involved 24 drugs and 13-year IMS claims, was completed in one week.
  2. Synchronization of data-mining sessions: Applied in a tri-step automated BI project involving multi-thread SAS implicit/explicit SQL pass-through query (20-30 seconds/report) on Teradata and Oracle data, VBA pivot-table copying, and SAS email sending, with more than 1000 reports needed to be completed within two hours every day. Each report is copied into an Excel pivot-table template and emailed out right after prepared by any thread of the first data query step.

Automated BI report systems with 1) html/JavaScript-based user interface; 2)Node.JS-based API to collect user input; 3) ETL cascade based on users’ input (real-time/scheduled task); and 4) email/online download/dashboard.
